About Wilderness Atlas
Wilderness Atlas is an independent reference for four kinds of federal land. It has a page for every national wildlife refuge, wilderness area, national forest and grassland, and Bureau of Land Management national monument or national conservation area in the United States. Each page gives the name, the managing agency, the states, the acreage, the boundary on a map, the federal campgrounds nearby, the Forest Service trailheads and sites inside, and live weather and conditions. Every record comes from the agency’s own boundary layer and links back to the agency page.
Wilderness Atlas is part of a network of public-data references alongside Park Atlas, Campsite Atlas and Register Atlas. It is not affiliated with the Fish and Wildlife Service, the Forest Service, the Bureau of Land Management, the National Park Service or any government agency.
Wilderness Atlas is published and operated by Lev & Lumber LLC, a California limited liability company.
